Due to the spam problem I had to turn on registration posting only. This means you have to be a registered user in order to post or reply to messages. I hated to do this but I had to in order to help reduce the spam to the board.

The Spam problem has gotten way out of control. They are even registering accounts and then spamming. I have now turned on Account verification/activation. I have to activate any new accounts. If you are a new user and have registered. I will be sending you an email. after I get a response from you, I will activate your account. Sorry I had to do this but the site was being spammed so bad it was not usable.

Dean,
Thank you so much! Acromegaly is such a rare disease and your site provides lots of useful information and support. I really do not know what these spammers are expecting to accomplish other than disrupting a useful site. Interestingly, another pituitary message board that I use has been hit with the same problem - they are currently shut down. Thank you again. PT |
